NEW DESKTOP PRODUCTS, REBUILDS, AND RELEASE WORK

macOS App Development

I design and build desktop products with Swift and AppKit, Electron, Tauri, React, or a hybrid architecture. The choice depends on the operating systems, existing code, performance needs, and release plan.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Product work through
public release.

01

Desktop product design

Window structure, navigation, keyboard workflows, settings, onboarding, and the first release scope.

02

Desktop architecture

Swift and AppKit for Mac-specific depth, Electron for mature web teams, or Tauri for a smaller cross-platform shell.

03

System integration

Audio capture, keyboard shortcuts, clipboard, menu bar, file access, accessibility, background services, and installers.

04

Local and cloud AI

Speech, language, audio, media, and agent workflows using local runtimes or provider APIs.

05

Licensing and payments

Direct-sale licensing, activation, secure local credentials, purchases, refunds, and entitlement state.

06

Updates and distribution

Sparkle feeds, signed archives, notarization, Gatekeeper verification, appcasts, and production release workflows.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Scope and delivery.

Do you build native Mac apps or Electron apps?+

Both. Swift and AppKit fit products that need deep Mac integration, low overhead, or local model performance. Electron fits teams with a mature web codebase and broader desktop plans. Tauri is another option when bundle size and system access matter.

Can you start with an idea or prototype?+

Yes. I can define the product, select the architecture, design the desktop experience, and build the first release. A script, model, mockup, or rough brief is enough to begin.

Do you support direct distribution?+

Yes. I can prepare Developer ID signing, notarization, Sparkle updates, licensing, and download delivery. Mac App Store work is scoped separately because its sandbox and policy constraints differ.

Can the AI run entirely on-device?+

When the model and target hardware make that practical. I assess memory, latency, model size, quality, and fallback needs before choosing local, cloud, or hybrid inference.
